Elsewhere, football history unfolds among cemetery monuments, Martin Scorsese\u2019s Taxi Driver celebrates its 50th anniversary on the big screen, and horror auteur Ari Aster arrives for a festival dedicated to film nightmares.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    Add literary street parties, seafood pop-ups, tango celebrations, and major concerts, and you\u2019ve got a packed week ahead \u2014 as always, the Herald\u2019s got you covered.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    NODO Art Circuit    June 4 to 6<br \/>\n65 galleries across Buenos Aires<br \/>\nFree<\/p>\n<p>    More than 65 contemporary art galleries will open their doors to the public this weekend across Buenos Aires as part of NODO, a three-day art circuit through Retiro, San Telmo, La Boca and Recoleta, featuring some of the finest local artists working today.<\/p>\n<p>    Created in 2022 and organized by Meridiano, NODO features a wide range of creative disciplines, including abstract painting, surrealist sculpture, experimental textiles, and digital photography. This street party organized by used books store Aristipo Libros has music, empanadas, wine, good books, beautiful people, and everything else you could want on a Saturday night filled with alcohol and education.<\/p>\n<p>    And because the party never really stops at 1:30 a.m. there\u2019s a post-Francachela at La Quince Cultural Space (Corrientes 5426) with free entry, a bar and a DJ. Just like that, we\u2019ve leveled up your weekend.<\/p>\n<p>    The Origins of Argentine Football: A Cemetery Tour    June 7, 11 a.m.<br \/>\nBritish Cemetery meeting point (Av. Elcano 4568)<br \/>\nFree admission<\/p>\n<p>    Legendary football, British history and cemeteries, all in one single event. Explore the roots of Argentina\u2019s national passion with The Origins of Argentine Football, a joint guided tour through the British and Chacarita cemeteries.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    Starting at the British Cemetery, visitors will visit the grave of Alexander Watson Hutton, the founder of the Argentine Football Association (AFA) and a pioneer of the sport in the country. The walk continues to Chacarita Cemetery to visit the Pante\u00f3n de las Glorias de Boca Juniors (Boca Juniors Glories\u2019 Pantheon) and the Recinto de Personalidades. Highlights include the final resting places of legends like Jos\u00e9 Amalfitani, Antonio Vespucio Liberti, and Adolfo Pedernera. Corrientes 1530)<br \/>\nTickets AR$9,000<\/p>\n<p>    Buenos Aires\u2019 cinephile temple Sala Lugones is holding a 4-screenings series of Martin Scorsese\u2019s masterpiece Taxi Driver to celebrate the film\u2019s 50th anniversary. Written by Paul Schrader and starring Robert De Niro, the film about an alienated Vietnam veteran roaming the gritty New York City nights won the Golden Palm in Cannes that year and became one of the landmark films of the 20th century. Any similarities with today\u2019s urban zeitgeist are probably not a coincidence.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    Extra, Extra! This edition features a high-profile residency by director Ari Aster, who will participate in live Q&#038;A sessions at Cine Gaumont following screenings of his films Eddington, Midsommar, and Hereditary.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    The diverse program also includes Nicol\u00e1s Sarqu\u00eds\u2019s Palo y Hueso and B\u00e9la Tarr\u2019s The Turin Horse. Now, after sold-outs in C Art Media and Obras stadium, he returns to the Villa Crespo arena.<\/p>\n<p>        Akiko Suwanai    June 5, 5 p.m.<br \/>\nColon Theater (Libertad 621)<\/p>\n<p>    Superb Japanese violinist Akiko Suwanai will perform with Canadian pianist Ryo Yanagitani as part of the celebrations for the 140th anniversary of Japanese immigration in Argentina. The program includes compositions by Beethoven, Franck and De Sarasate.<\/p>\n<p>    Lollapalooza Argentina is on!
