Dorrego 1409)<br \/>\nReservations here<\/p>\n<p>    Las Argies is hosting a new edition of its bilingual book club on May 30 at vermouth specialists La Fuerza, inviting readers to discuss The Things We Lost in the Fire, the short story by acclaimed Argentine author Mariana Enriquez that gives its name to her celebrated collection.<\/p>\n<p>    The club focuses on works by Argentine women writers and allows participants to read and discuss texts in either English or Spanish. Corrientes 1530)<br \/>\nFull program available online<\/p>\n<p>    Rita Acevedo Gomez\u2019s Fuck the Polis    One of the top cinephile events of the year, the Portuguese Film Week brings together established filmmakers and debut features. This year\u2019s lineup includes films exploring post-colonialism, a horror selection curated by Lisbon\u2019s Horror Film Festival MotelX and Peliculinhas, an animation section for family audiences.<\/p>\n<p>    This year\u2019s special guest is Portuguese director Jo\u00e3o Rosas, presenting his debut feature A Vida Luminosa, about a young man navigating adulthood and heartbreak in Lisbon, alongside three short films completing a 15-year tetralogy. Held at the MALBA film theater and the legendary Sala Lugones, the festival will also feature a retrospective dedicated to acclaimed Portuguese filmmaker Teresa Villaverde.<\/p>\n<p>        Hamburger Day Specials    Pizzas, specialty coffees, parrillas\u2026 of all the different gastro frenzies Buenos Aires experienced in recent years, the sprout of hamburger restaurants was among the most expanding ones. New, great, ephemeral, and not-so-great burger joints took over the city like a tsunami. Now that the waters receded, we were still left with a decent number of fine choices.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>        Our favorites? The longstanding Burger Joint in Palermo, the rougher and enduring Banco Rojo in San Telmo, the new sliders\u2019 heaven Luisa\u2019s in Nu\u00f1ez, the bulky gourmet burger at the Four Season\u2019s Pony Line Bar, the elegant Guita, and the younger, crowded Kiddo, among others.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    International Burger Day is coming on May 28 and these are all good ways to celebrate it, but here are a few special offers from some of our favorite restaurants.<\/p>\n<p>    Narda Comedor    May 28<br \/>\nMariscal Antonio Jos\u00e9 de Sucre 664<\/p>\n<p>    For nearly a decade, Narda Comedor, the restaurant led by acclaimed Argentine chef Narda Lepes, has become one of Buenos Aires\u2019 leading spots for seasonal, vegetable-driven cooking and collaborations with local producers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    This May, the restaurant dedicated its Comer con las manos series entirely to hamburgers, serving a different version every Thursday using Muge beef blends, Kalis buns and Stella Artois beer pairings. The final edition arrives on May 28 with the Melt burger: double beef patties, fontina cheese, onions, pickles and ketchup served on sliced bread.<\/p>\n<p>    Somos Asado &#038; Mi Barrio    May 28 to 30<br \/>\nSomos Asado (Av. Scalabrini Ortiz 651)<br \/>\nReservations via Wokiapp or Whatsapp<\/p>\n<p>    Somos Asado, chef Gustavo Portela\u2019s restaurant specializing in meats and wood-fired cooking, will host the team behind Mi Barrio, the burger joint known for its smash-style burgers and 100% pasture-raised beef.<\/p>\n<p>    The three-day pop-up will focus on premium wood-fired burgers, featuring limited-edition sandwiches made with dry-aged beef blends cooked over a grill, alongside fermented fries. Only 20 portions will be available each day, with options ranging from classic double cheeseburgers to blue cheese-topped creations.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    Reservations are required via WhatsApp or Wokiapp.<\/p>\n<p>    Grasa &#038; RVR Caf\u00e9    May 30<br \/>\nAcevedo 986<\/p>\n<p>    Grasa is taking over RVR Caf\u00e9 in Villa Crespo for a one-day pop-up on May 30. Starting at noon, the burger spot will serve two special burgers made with Muge beef blends and Martins potato buns, alongside wine by the glass, vermouth, beer and music.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    The collaboration brings together Grasa\u2019s smashburger-style cooking with RVR\u2019s mix of specialty coffee and fashion retail in a relaxed, all-day Saturday event.<\/p>\n<p>    Sif\u00f3n\u00a0    Jorge Newbery 3881<br \/>\nAv. Corrientes 1660<\/p>\n<p>        Chacagiales <\/p>\n<p>nod Sif\u00f3n has added a Wagyu cheeseburger to its menu in collaboration with Argentine chef and cattle raiser Juan Barcos, founder of Madre Rojas and Barcos &#038; Sons.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    The burger features a Wagyu beef patty \u2014 prized for its marbling, tenderness and rich flavor \u2014 topped with cheddar, ketchup and finely chopped red onion on a soft bun designed to highlight the meat. It comes with crispy fries and cashews, fitting Sif\u00f3n\u2019s casual concept centered on small plates, house sodas and vermouth.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    MUSIC<br \/>\nCarl Palmer\u2019s ELP legacy live    May 29, 9 p.m.<br \/>\nGran Rivadavia Theater (Av. Original members Herbert Vianna, Bi Ribeiro and Joao Barone promise to play all their classic hits.<\/p>\n<p>    Ariel Rot    May 28, 9 p.m.<br \/>\nNiceto Club (Niceto Vega 5510)<br \/>\nAdmission AR$ 60,000<\/p>\n<p>    Born in Argentina but living in Spain since a teenager, this singer and guitarist helmed celebrated band Tequila in the late 70s and became Calamaro\u2019s sidekick in Los Rodriguez in the 90s. He now visits Buenos Aires with songs from both bands and his solo career.<\/p>\n<p>    POP UPS    Peruvian masters in Elena    May 29<br \/>\nElena, Four Seasons Hotel (Posadas 1086\/88)<\/p>\n<p>    Elena will host a one-night dinner bringing together some of the biggest names in Peruvian cuisine. The event will feature acclaimed Peruvian chefs Gast\u00f3n Acurio, widely credited with helping place Peru at the center of the global gastronomic scene; Mitsuharu Tsumura, whose Lima restaurant Maido is currently ranked the best in Latin America; and Anthony V\u00e1squez D\u00edaz, executive chef of La Mar.<\/p>\n<p>    The trio will join Four Seasons executive chef Juan Gaffuri for a collaborative dinner celebrating the diversity, techniques and flavors of contemporary Peruvian gastronomy in one of Buenos Aires\u2019 top fine-dining destinations.<\/p>\n<p>    Casa Cavia &#038; Juan Pedro Rastellino\u00a0    May 28<br \/>\nCasa Cavia (Cavia 2985)<br \/>\nPrice AR$100,000 \/ AR$150,000 with wine pairings<\/p>\n<p>        Casa Cavia will host a special dinner alongside chef Juan Pedro Rastellino as part of the third edition of #SomosHumedal, an initiative by La Filiberta promoting awareness about the preservation of the Paran\u00e1 Delta wetlands.<\/p>\n<p>    Rastellino \u2014 also a sommelier, teacher and author of La carneada \u2014 will join Casa Cavia\u2019s chef F\u00e9lix Babini for a collaborative multi-course menu centered on sustainably raised water buffalo from the Delta region.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>    The dinner will explore different cuts, textures and cooking techniques while emphasizing traceability, sustainability and ingredient-driven cooking.
