Progressive Congresswoman Ilhan Omar<\/a>‘s husband is being investigated after she disclosed that her family’s businesses skyrocketed in value in a single year.<\/p>\n

House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer, a Republican, announced on Friday that his panel will probe Omar’s husband, Timothy Mynett, a political consultant and entrepreneur.<\/p>\n

In a letter to Mynett, Comer asked for financial information regarding Rose Lake Capital LLC, his business consulting firm, andeStCru LLC, a wine company, in which Omar holds a stake.<\/p>\n

According to Omar’s federal financial disclosures, Rose Lake went from being valued between $51,000 to $250,000 in 2023<\/a> to $5 million to $25 million in 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

GOP Flags Sharp Valuation Increases in Firms Linked to Omars Husband<\/h2>\n

The increase in value from $250,000 to $5 million, the minimum the LLC could’ve risen in a single year, according to the forms, is 1,900 percent.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, eStCru LLC ballooned in valuation from $15,000 to $50,000 in 2023 to $1 million to $5 million in 2024, also a 1,900 percent increase.<\/p>\n

‘Im demanding financial information from companies linked to Minnesota<\/a> Representative Ilhan Omars husband [Mynett],’ Comer posted on social media on Friday.<\/p>\n

‘His companies reportedly went from $51,000 to $30 MILLION in one year – with zero investor information. So we want to know: Whos funding this? And whos buying access?’<\/p>\n

If Comer’s figures are correct and Omar’s family business shot up in value from $51,000 to $30 million, that would represent a 58,723 percent increase in a single year.<\/p>\n

Probe Comes as Multiple Federal Agencies Investigate Fraud in Minnesota<\/h2>\n

The probe comes as President Donald Trump has alleged that up to $19 billion was stolen fraudulently from public service contracts in Minnesota.<\/p>\n

The DOJ, FBI, IRS, Department of Homeland Security and the House Oversight Committee are all investigating fraud in the state.<\/p>\n

The President and the Department of Justice have noted how many fraud schemes were perpetuated by Somalis, who have a large diaspora in the state. Omar, born in Somalia, is the first Somali American to serve in Congress<\/a>.<\/p>\n

‘According to Rose Lake Capitals website, it is staffed by five former diplomats who have experience in over 80 countries and involvement in 11 free trade agreements,’ Comer noted in his letter.<\/p>\n

‘However, the website does not name specific employees or advisors and no asset portfolio information. As a result, the Committee requests documents and communications related to the finances of eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital LLC.’<\/p>\n

Mynett’s Wine Company Faced Past Allegations<\/h2>\n

Mynett’s wine company has been hit with negative headlines alleging fraud in the past.<\/p>\n

‘US Representative Ilhan Omars husband accused of swindling investor in their California winery,’ reads a 2024 headline from the Rhode Island Current.<\/p>\n

Omar, now the subject of an inquiry into her family’s finances, has been a frequent target of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n

‘Scammer Ilhan Omar and her absolutely terrible friends from Somalia should all be in jail right now or, far worse, send them back to Somalia,’ Trump posted on social media over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Trump has also slammed Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for corruption after the Democrat dropped his re-election campaign shortly after federal fraud investigations began in the state.<\/p>\n

‘Governor Waltz [sic] is either the most CORRUPT government official in history, or the most INCOMPETENT,’ Trump wrote in the same post.<\/p>\n

Man armed with a syringe attacks Ilhan Omar<\/h2>\n

Ilhan Omar was attacked by a Trump supporter who told her to ‘resign’ before using a syringe to spray an unknown liquid at the Minnesota Congress woman.<\/p>\n

Omar faced off with the angry protester after calling for Kristi Noem to resign while speaking about the recent Border Patrol shooting of Alex Pretti during a North Minneapolis town hall.’DHS Secretary Kristi Noem must resign or face impeachment,’ Omar says in footage of the incident.<\/p>\n

The protester – later identified at 55-year-old Anthony J. Kazmierczak – ran toward Omar and sprayed a mystery substance at her from a syringe.<\/p>\n

He then told Omar to resign and claimed she’s ‘tearing Minnesota apart’ before being dragged away by security guards.<\/p>\n

Omar appeared ready to confront Kazmierczak before he was dragged away as she muttered: ‘[expletive].’ She then answers an inaudible question from the crowd with ‘I don’t know’ and telling another member of her team that she needs a napkin.<\/p>\n

When one of the bystanders tells Omar she needs to ‘get checked’ for whatever was sprayed at her, she stands her ground, saying: ‘We will continue. These [expletive] [expletive] are not going to get away with it.<\/p>\n

Here is the reality that people like this ugly man don’t understand: We are Minnesota strong.’ Kazmierczak has an image of President Trump on his Facebook page along with another of Trump embracing Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.<\/p>\n
