We needed another!&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But references and even allusions to Trump and his administration largely dried up after Glaser&#8217;s monologue.<\/p>\n<p>Amy Poehler may have obliquely critiqued the administration&#8217;s attacks on public broadcasting when she lovingly mocked one of her fellow nominees for Best Podcast, NPR.<\/p>\n<p>Notably, the nominated podcasts were all celebrity-hosted and celebrity-focused shows, except for NPR&#8217;s morning news round-up Up First.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;I have great respect for this form. I have great respect for all the people that I am nominated with,&#8217; Poehler said during her acceptance speech. &#8216;I am big fans of all of you \u2014 except for NPR. pins, but the low-key protest meant that viewers at home likely would have no idea what they were protesting.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Comedian Nikki Glaser served as the master of ceremonies for the second year in a row with her shocking no-holds-barred sense of humor to her hosting duties.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>When it comes to the nominations it is One Battle After Another who leads the pack with a whopping nine nominations\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&#8216;Hosting the Golden Globes this year was without a doubt the most fun I have ever had in my career,&#8217; Glaser, 41, said in a March statement. &#8216;I can&#8217;t wait to do it again, and this time in front of the team from The White Lotus who will finally recognize my talent and cast me in season 4 as a Scandinavian Pilates instructor with a shadowy past.&#8217;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to the nominations it is One Battle After Another who leads the pack with a whopping nine nominations.<\/p>\n<p>The Leonardo DiCaprio-starring epic picked up nods in the film categories including Best Picture, Director and Screenwriter, a Best Actor nod for its lead and Supporting Actor recognitions for\u00a0Benicio del Toro and <a target=\"_self\" href=\"http:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/tvshowbiz\/sean-penn\/index.html\" id=\"mol-ad32eed0-ef6f-11f0-a724-6f67d9490ad8\">Sean Penn<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>It will compete against Blue Moon, Bugonia, Marty Supreme, No Other Choice and Nouvelle Vague in the Best Picture &#8211;
