Support for cancer research is extremely important, so it is wonderful to see all of this support. We have seen great camaraderie and participation this year, and I am extremely honoured to be the honorary chair for such an event.”Article contentRaces were held on the New Glasgow Riverfront, with each team paddling theirDragon Boat in heats as spectators cheered them on from the shore and bridges.Article content“I’m thankful to see so many people coming out to support the cause,” said Kim MacIvor, a participant with the Women Alike Abreast a River team.Article content“I’ve been paddling for four years now, and I was always very interested in it. I was very athletic in my younger years, so this has helped me reclaim some of that.
