Pennsylvania‘s Democratic Senator John Fetterman was full of praise for President Donald Trumpafter his decision to strike Iran on Saturday.
Fetterman expressed his support of Trump’s latest military operation targeting Iran on Fox & Friends.
‘You can put out tweets and statements to support peace. But to create real peace, you have to do these kinds of actions, just like happened, like last year to destroy their nuclear facilities.’
Trump’s strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities in Operation Midnight Hammer last June were said to have eliminated Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
‘Sometimes peace is possible after these kinds of steps, that’s why I support those things.’
Fetterman also blasted Republican Congressman Thomas Massie’s criticism of Trump’s campaign, saying it is illegal for a President to to star a war without congressional approval.
The Democrat described Massie’s comments as ‘bizzare.’
Massie posted on X shortly after Trump’s video address condemning the president’s ‘acts of war unauthorized by Congress.’

The administration did not seek formal congressional approval, which is a prerequisite to war, according to the US Constitution.
‘I might bea Democrat, but in this specific case, the President is absolutely correct to do these kinds of actions,’ Fetterman noted.
‘Now we have Israel’s back. That is why it is entirely a path for peace in that region,’ Fetterman added.

The Pennsylvania Democrat has bucked many progressive members of his party by being a staunch supporter of Israel and the Jewish people, and has occasionally backed other GOP-led policies like tougher immigration enforcement.
Fetterman also praised his colleague Lindsey Graham of South Carolina’s take on the strikes.
‘I listen to my colleague from South Carolina earlier, I even had the option to talk to him before the State of the Union speech as well,’ Fetterman said.
South Carolina Republican Lindsey Graham, once a Trump foe who has since turned into a top ally, shared that he was ‘in awe of President Trump’s determination to be a man of peace, but at the end of the day, evil’s worst nightmare.’
‘Well done, Mr. President,’ Graham added, piling on the praise.
Graham was seen at the White House on Thursday and has been one of the President’s closest advisers on Iran strategy. He also noted that the operation was ‘well planned’ in the post to X.
