Survivor fans have been left furious that tonight’s finale will be delayed due to President Donald Trump‘s address to the nation.
CBS has confirmed that the last episode of season 49 will be delayed this evening to make room in the schedule.
As it currently stands, the three-hour Survivor finale will start at 8pm ET/PT.
The episode will resume where it left off immediately following the president’s address, which is scheduled for 9pm ET.
CBS News will air the address as a special report.
Understandably, many viewers have expressed their anger over the disruption.
Taking their complaints to Reddit, one fumed: ‘This administration finds new ways to ruin my day every time I wake up to be honest.’
Another vented: ‘F***ing Trump, man. You gotta be kidding. Of all nights to do this!’

‘I watch Survivor to forget about this baboon, now he’s going to insert himself into my 1.5 hour of escapism?’ asked a third.
Echoing a similar sentiment, another spewed: ‘I cannot express how much this absolutely enrages me.’
‘Just when I thought I couldn’t hate one man any more than I already did,’ a fifth added. ‘He never fails to surprise me.’
‘Why does that f***ing have to ruin literally everything?’ demanded a sixth.
Sage Ahrens-Nichols, Sophi Balerdi, Savannah Louie, Kristina Mills and Rizo Velovic are the last of the Fiji castaways on Survivor season 49.
The five finalists are competing for the $1 million prize.
Trump confirmed his address to the nation on Truth Social on Tuesday.
He wrote: ‘My fellow Americans: I will be giving an ADDRESS TO THE NATION tomorrow night, LIVE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.

‘I look forward to ‘seeing’ you then. It has been a great year for our Country, and THE BEST IS YET TO COME! PRESIDENT DONALD J. TRUMP.’
The US leader did not provide any further details about his announcement, while the White House has not offered any information regarding tonight’s speech.
It comes after Trump declared the Venezuelan regime a foreign terrorist organisation last night and ordered ‘a total and complete blockade’ of sanctioned oil tankers headed to and from the South American country.
The president’s drone strike campaign against drug boats in the region has killed 95 people to date but Trump is now going a step further in his campaign against leftist dictator Nicolas Maduro, whom he previously told to flee the country.
