Trump gives New York Times writer rancid nickname as he goes scorched earth against her new book: ‘She’s spewing out garbage’

President Donald Trump levied a fresh round of insults at a New York Times journalist on Sunday while bashing her new tell-all book about his second administration as a complete work of ‘fiction.’

‘Based on a very quick and boring briefing concerning the Magot Hagerman book about me, it is mostly made up, Fake News, largely fiction, as have been most of the things she has written about me for so many years,’ Trump wrote just after midnight in a Truth Social post, addressing Times reporter Maggie Haberman.

Haberman and fellow Times reporterJonathan Swan authored ‘Regime Change,’ a book released on June 23 about the inner workings of the second Trump administration.

In the book, the authors claimed to have access to audio recordings from inside the White House Situation Room, a claim that Trump has denied.

‘She was wrong about me on the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, and she was wrong about me on just about everything else. But she continues to spew out garbage, and people continue to buy it.’ Trump added about Haberman.

Sunday was not the first time the president used the nickname ‘maggot’ on Haberman.

‘Maggot Hagerman, just another SLEAZEBAG writer for The Failing New York Times, insists on writing false stories about me, even though she fully knows and understands that the exact opposite of anything she says is usually the truth,’ Trump wrote in another Truth Social post back in March.

‘In any event, I’m thinking of adding Maggot, and some of her ‘associates,’ into my Florida-based lawsuit against The Times, which, very happily, seems to be proceeding nicely,’ Trump added back in the spring.

Trump is currently entangled $15 billion defamation lawsuit with the Times. The original suit was dismissed last September, and has been refiled twice.

Trump has a long history of clashing with top female reporters, liberal and conservative alike, during both of his terms in office.

In a clash with CNN host and reporter Kaitlan Collins earlier this year, Trump told her to smile more.

‘You know she’s a young woman,’ the president told a room of Republican lawmakers and reporters, then turned to Collins directly: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile. I’ve known you for 10 years, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you smile.’

She insisted at the time that it’s hardly controversial to stay serious when asking about Epstein’s sexual assault victims.

Trump singled out Shannon Bream, the host of FOX News Sunday, on Friday while after rattling off a series of policy wins.

‘it would be nice if people like Milk Toast Shannon Bream, and others, would put up a little fight Just a little,’ Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The president has also clashed repeatedly withFox News senior White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrich, who recently married Pennsylvania Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.

Despite being a Republican,Fitzpatrick has voted against Trump on several key issues, and Trump has called out Heinrich for his votes.

‘Her husband votes against me all the time. Can you imagine? I don’t know what’s with him. You better ask him what’s with him,’ Trump jabbed at the reporter back in May before she and Fitzpatrick got married.
